BRAINS & BRAWN #25
"How Training Partners Can Go a Long Way"
I think that this is very important to have a friend that will help you out along the way.
Having a training buddy or partner could be just the thing you need to help push you over the edge and finally get things done.
Having a work out buddy can also be good for encouragement.
They can help challenge you to get to achieve a higher goal every single work out. Sometimes it's just plain fun to have a partner to work out with as well.
On the other hand, if there is no way to get a training partner or you would prefer to train on your own, that's alright, too. I personally don't care to waste my money on a gym pass and meet others that go to the same gym. The only time I really only work out with someone is if I'm helping them with their exercises.
Either way, it's an idea. Some people enjoy some friendly competition to help give them a boost. If you choose to have a training partner, then be sure to help them as well! There are a couple things to keep in mind when choosing someone to train with:
You could find someone who is in your position and that can relate to you on the same level
You could find someone who already got the body you want and ask if they want to be a training buddy
You should also make sure that they have a positive mental attitude. There is nothing like a negative person who enjoys calling a person names and dragging them down - it doesn't help someone lose weight or get fit when they are constantly pointing out a weakness either.
Do you recall The Biggest Loser?
A show that focused on "supposedly" helping others lose weight by yelling at them and calling them down...
Don't find "Losers" like that!
They do more damage than good.
Training and dieting is not just about getting fit physically but is also to develop mental strengths.
See you in 7 days...
