BRAINS & BRAWN #20
"A Life-Coach and a Fat New Years Failure"
Okay, so chances are it is not New Years today but this topic we will cover today is relevant.
On every New Year's Eve, a lot of us think about a New Resolution. A resolution being something we will change about ourselves, for the better.
Most of us fail do follow through - why?
Last New Year's I read an article written by a life coach. She was talking about the New Year's resolutions people make and not following through. She then went on to say that it's usually the same thing every year and that people should forget about trying to do something new to benefit themselves.
"Instead" she said, "work on what you are already good at."
Here's the problem with what the guru said; if you keep doing what you currently do - your results don't change.
She obviously was not smart at all. In order to get different results we have to implement new ideas and create new habits.
Sure new habits are sometimes not so easy to form - but it is highly probable that you can form a new habit, any habit that you want to form. Not just probable but one hundred percent doable.
As I say - never let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do.
Make New Year's Day every day of your life! (Without the drinking) Always decide to change your old habits into new habits that will benefit you.
Always keep trying, and lo! You will eventually create a new habit that will bring you desired results. It is only a matter of time and effort, and you can do whatever it is that you want to do - there are no limits.
Oh and by the way, this life coach was well beyond chubby - definitely obese... I guess she has followed her own advice by discouraging herself and talking herself out of losing weight and getting healthy... go figure.
Have a good day and I'll see you in 7 days!
Next week issue covers the topic of - How Thin Bodies Are Not What They Seem.
