"Dr. Atkins for Dinner"

The Atkins diet started in the 1970's. This book was notorious for promoting the consumption of highly saturated meats and eating as much as you want while losing weight.

From what I've noticed, I'm sure his intentions were good but it kind of turned around and slapped him in the face. It was a new idea and new ideas are not to be neglected but from another perspective it turned into a nightmare.

The main premise of the Atkins diet series was that by eating meat, being high protein foods, you will eat less in the long run and that there was something to do with saturated fat and progressed metabolism.

This is half true

You should even know by experience that when you eat high protein foods, it will make you feel full for longer. The bad part to this diet is the bad saturated fat intake and you don't get the nourishment you need.

Dieting is not just about looking at how much you eat but is also about what you eat. There were cases when the diet was blamed for medical issues like clients with heart failure and heart disease.

Is it true that this diet was the culprit?

To be honest - I don't know. But what I do know is that this diet is not exactly healthy and you probably won't get much out of it. People who have done the diet also report having horrible smelling breath and nightmarish bowel movements.

Sorry Dr. Atkins but this diet is a fail.

I'm not judging him for coming up with a new idea, but I'm just helping you out before you choose a diet that won't benefit you in a good way, all of the way.

Another diet to do with bad saturated fat is the Crispy Cream Diet. Okay, I'm not sorry and the woman who came up with this should be confined somewhere and never again should she be allowed to speak to anyone. Crispy deep-fried foods are one of the things that made America obese.

In the end - proteins are good for your body - your body is made and operated by proteins - but not needed in a crazy huge amount and should not be your primary source of nutrients in any meal. Secondly, eat deep-fried-crispy-stuff and you will never get healthy and lose the weight.
